TRANSFORMING IMMIGRANT RIGHTS INTO NEEDED & COMMON SENSE REFORMS
Our principles and values are embodied in our work and aim to demonstrate our commitment to immigrant communities.
BACKGROUND
Our work is a testament to our commitment to issues impacting immigrant communities.
Tzunu Strategies has partnered with national immigrant rights organizations, local governments, trade associations, and other key stakeholders in policy & legislative advocacy, media & communications, and campaign management & coalition building to advance common-sense immigration policy.
THE CHALLENGE
The Trump era required media strategies that could cut through the noise and tell real people's stories.
In the midst of anti-immigrant discourse and politics across the nation, grassroots, legislative, and foundations have needed a robust communications strategy that not only elevates directly impacted voices but can shift the narrative and create legislative change.
WHAT WE DID
The Tzunu team has been involved in nearly every major immigrant rights battle nationally and locally over the past 15 years.
From telling the stories of Central American refugees at the US Mexico border to the passage of HR-6, the Dream & Promise Act, Tzunu helped train and prepare hundreds of immigrants and confirmed media coverage and airtime on national cable news networks such as CNN, MSNBC, Univision, convening press conferences and national media briefings, preparation for testimony in the House Judiciary.
THE RESULTS
We have uplifted the voices of key stakeholders and the call to action for immigration policy priorities.
We developed high-impact messaging, rapid-response advocacy, digital activations, and counter-messaging shared nationally with over 70 advocacy member organizations. Through a robust messaging and social media campaign, messaging guide, and advocacy, we have strengthened a nationwide coalition of organizations calling for immigration reform.
