The Challenge

Because LA is already home to many immigrant rights groups, this coalition needed strong branding and a robust communications strategy that would sharply define its mission and specific area of advocacy. It also needed staff to manage the day-to-day work across policy, organizing, and communications, as well as coordinate six diverse co-chair organizations.

Our Approach

Over the past four years our ongoing partnership has encompassed project management at the coalition level, as well as coordination with the funder for specific projects and wide-ranging communications work. From designing branding and a website, to steering public-facing events like town halls and press conferences, to specific day-to-day functions such as directing the communications subcommittee, turning out a weekly newsletter, writing/sending press statements, and managing the coalitions social media profiles.

Highlights

A hands-on partnership that responds to emerging challenges as the coalition grows

A cohesive narrative and identity supported by strong branding and comprehensive attention to communications

Collaborative building of a new organization in an emerging area of advocacy

Results

Tzunu is proud to participate in this effort to open a new space for immigrant rights advocacy through IRLA. Our project management and communications work helps raise its profile and builds its power.
